Flu Shots

Get the Shot, Not the Flu

Getting a flu shot takes just a few minutes and it can save you a lot of headache- and coughing. And fever. And chills. And fatigue. And other miserable flu-related symptoms.

Exposure to the flu can happen anywhere- in a meeting at work, at the grocery store, or at a family gathering, but a flu shot is the single best way to prevent the flu according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In fact, the CDC recommends everyone over the age of 6 months receive a flu vaccine each year. It's a simple way to help protect you and those around you against the flu.

Each fall, Lockheed Martin offers its annual free flu shot program at more than 120 locations throughout the U.S. To learn more, review the Flu Shot FAQs.

Do I need to bring anything with me to receive a flu shot?

For onsite flu shot clinics, employees do not need to bring with them their health plan ID card. It is required that you complete your consent form prior to your scheduled appointment, bring 2 copies, and arrive two (2) minutes before your appointment to help with social distancing.

  • Remember that the LM HealthWorks Plan covers certain preventive care services, like flu shots, at 100%. If you were unable to take advantage of the Lockheed Martin Flu Shot Program, you may want to consider getting one from your provider.
